Play, Experience, Learn — 391 Children, One Goal

Within the framework of the project “Strengthening Community Resilience and Disaster Preparedness for Displaced Populations in Armenia”, a series of interactive and developmental training exercises titled “LEARN, PLAY, EXPERIENCE” was launched and successfully implemented in Meghri community.

From March 23 to 26, the activities were carried out in all seven preschool educational institutions of the community, located in Alvank, Agarak, Karchevan, Shvanidzor, Vardanidzor, Lehvaz, and Meghri town. On April 13, the training team continued the activities by visiting the secondary schools of Nrnadzor and Alvank, further expanding the program’s outreach.

A total of 391 children (172 girls and 219 boys) participated in the activities and were actively engaged in an interesting and dynamic learning process.

The implementation of the activities was also supported by 123 staff members, who provided organizational and professional assistance throughout the program.

An important feature of the initiative is that it creates a safe and encouraging environment where children can develop their educational, social, and communication skills through play, experience, and cooperation. At the same time, the initiative contributes to community cohesion and strengthens cooperation among different stakeholders.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), through the joint efforts of UNHCR, World Vision Armenia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service, the Disaster Risk Reduction National Platform Foundation, HEKS/EPER, the Armenian Association of Social Workers, and partner communities.
